Goodyear Named to Cabinet

Cambridge MP Gary Goodyear has been named to a junior post in Stephen Harper's cabinet.
The now Honourable Goodyear will fill the position of Minister of State (Science and Technology). The position is a good fit for Goodyear given the strength of the technology industry in Cambridge.

Not enough money for water testing study?

I'm rather surprised that this has one escaped notice. Yesterday, The Times reporterd that the Lake Erie Source Protection Committee only has 2/3 of the money it needs to finish the studies "to establish the guidelines for protecting drinking water sources."
