City Council is to Blame
Feb 6th, 2010 | By James Hillis | Section: Community, Humour and SatireI know that Governments make a lot of mistakes and get blamed for some that they don\’t make, and so i have come up with a few things that i am blaming on the Mayor and his Council.
Canadian Idol- Someone has to take the fall for that irritating talentless laden piece of drivel. Why not out Mayor?
Conservatives( or liberals if you swing that way).–blaming politicians for politicians just seems an easier answer than anything else i can come up with.
Global Warming–This one pretty well answers itself, toxins being spewed into the air from City hall. Seems obvious to me.
Spam–Both the meat product and the internet kind. Of course this one may be more of a Gary Goodyear thing.
Hillary Duff\’s Success–I can\’t seem to find any other reason, so let\’s blame it on the council.
That Annoying Deja Vu thing–Of course this could be an oxymoron, i mean ANNOYING..and Making the same mistakes over and over…sounds like government.
That Annoying…wow, i feel like i wrote this one already
Windows Vista–Was there anything as F@#$#k up as that, sounds like something we can realistically blame on the city council.
Ugly Naked People–I mean there is one looking back at me right now..wait, that is just a mirror. Sorry about that.
The Snuggie–One of the most stupid inventions i have ever seen. Surely something that dumb has to have been invented by the same people that brought us the Drayton theater. I definitely blame this one on the mayor himself.
The dishes not being done. I blame Ward one councilor Rick Cowsill for this one, now if i can just convince my wife of that i would be happy. How about it Rick, want to take the blame for that one?
So there a few things that i feel can be blamed on the city council, and i now return you to your regularly scheduled Apocalypse.

James I love the sarcasti wit, Should we not blame cut council for the costs of the Olympics and NASA while we are at it, Several of the posts on here are not under the jurisdciction of local council such as a safe bike path over the 401 -That is the responsibility of the mInistry of transport and U know city council has and continues to pursue this. As pompous and arrogant some councillors may be; there too are some on here . Let’s all become self appointed councillors and do whats in our own personal bests. $3000 for a granny suite . OUTRAGEOUS ! “worse than communism” or the “gestapo” I wonder what Holocaust survivors or those under communist rule would think of all this bantering. I am just sayin’

Thank You Margaret and Joe, Hope you both have a good day, I am just waiting to see if Rick Cowsill will call me and offer to come over to do my dishes, my wife is getting a little annoyed at me for leaving them. Since I live in a democratic household, it is my turn to do them, but maybe I am just a little too self Important to do them myself.
James…I would offer to come over to do those dishes for you.. but then I would insist “you pay it forward.”.
By doing them for your wife tomorrow.. so you see.. it’s a no win..and of course you would have to do them again right the next day on your regular shift..

My wife has a voice activated dishwasher…..”Get off your lazy ass and do the damn dishes” ….that usually starts the dishwaher.
And of course my dad always said” No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes”

l’m taking bets at 500-1 odds that my letter to the times on my impression of this site and what it brings to our city will not see ink. Any bets over 6.3 million l cann’t cover.
